John Sheatsley
John began his broadcasting career as a CSB School of Broadcasting student in 2000. Not long after graduating, he landed his first radio job as a Production Assistant for CBS Radio in Hartford, Connecticut, where he honed his skills in commercial production, copywriting and voice-overs. In 2002, he developed his own audio production company, Triple Play Productions, and added music production, sound design and video production to his repertoire. As part of 96.5 WTIC's Acoustic Café Series, John has had the privilege of recording many national recording artists, including Maroon 5, John Mayer, Matchbox 20, Staind, Daughtry and numerous others.

John returned to CSB School of Broadcasting as an instructor in 2004, where he taught digital audio production, copywriting and on-air control systems. His enthusiasm for the radio industry, creative curriculum ideas and "louder-than-life" personality made for an exciting learning environment for CSB School of Broadcasting students. When the Campus Director position opened up in 2007, he jumped at the opportunity.

"I love the fact that I'm able to share my love for the broadcasting industry with new students. CSB School of Broadcasting gave me a career that I absolutely love, and now, I get to do the same. Our instructors here in Farmington are second to none, and they are the core of what makes CSB School of Broadcasting so special. They all take tremendous pride in what they do, both in the industry and at the School."

When John isn't at the School or the radio station, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters, playing guitar and piano, and catchin' a Yankees game.

"The cool thing about this business is that you can turn your hobbies into a career ... and it doesn't feel like work. There's no better feeling than producing a great song, nailing a voice-over in one take or making a hot TV commercial."
