David Chase
David Chase, a CSB School of Broadcasting graduate, joins CSB School of Broadcasting after a successful 10-year career in radio that started in West Palm Beach, FL, and has taken him to over 40 cities across the nation.
David started his radio career where most broadcasters start: overnights and pushing buttons. Without seeing the sun for over a year, David's ambition and work ethic paid its dividends, and he received an offer to work as a Sports Announcer for a local newspaper's web site. It was there that David fine-tuned his announcing skills, which took him even further in the industry through announcing traffic during morning and afternoon drives!
"My traffic experience was key in getting me to where I wanted to go, and that was a music format. It had been my goal since I graduated from CSB School of Broadcasting to be an on-air personality for a rock station."
After about 4 years and 10 gigs - including traffic, sports, weather, promotions and board opping - David finally got the opportunity of a lifetime. Due to the flu bug one winter, the overnight guy on Planet Radio 92.1 West Palm Beach, FL, (New Rock) got sick, and David was called in to do his first on-air music shift!
"It was a dream come true, but it did not happen overnight. I had given my demo to the Station Manager for over a year, and he continued to throw me out of his office. But it was my drive, ambition and need to never give up that made him choose me that night to fill in. After that first night, I remained on the air for the rest of my career."
As an On-Air Talent, David's stations include: WJRR, Real Rock 101.1, Orlando, FL; WTZB, 105.9 The Buzz, Sarasota, FL; WRLX, Planet Radio 92.1, West Palm Beach, FL; WLDI, 95.5 Wild, West Palm Beach, FL; and WKGR, 98.7 The Gator, West Palm Beach, FL.
"I spent 10 of the greatest years of my life in radio! Now, I get to give back what was given to me to individuals who have the same dreams I had starting here at CSB School of Broadcasting. It is another dream come true of mine to be the Director of this beautiful CSB School of Broadcasting - Las Vegas campus. I look forward to seeing you soon!"
