Dan Eidem
Since graduating from the Boston campus of CSB School of Broadcasting, Dan has enjoyed a long and successful career in broadcasting. He can list providing nationwide coverage of Hurricane Katrina for Clear Channel Radio and reporting for the BBC among his achievements. Dan has worked in all facets of radio, from being an Operations Manager in Minneapolis to Assistant Program Director in St. Paul to Anchor/Reporter and On-Air Personality in Nashville. His experiences range from emceeing Sesame Street Live to delivering breaking news and weather updates to coordinating satellite and local programming. His excellence in broadcasting was recognized with nominations in 2004, 2005 and 2006 as Newscaster of the Year for the Nashville Achievement in Radio Awards.
Dan is a voice talent for a Minneapolis advertising agency and also enjoys performing as a musician and band leader.
Dan's years of success make him a natural choice to instruct Radio News and Copy at CSB School of Broadcasting in Nashville.
John Fucile
An international award-winning writer and director, John has been honored with numerous awards, fellowships and grants. As a graduate fellow at New School University, he received attention for his industry-published DV narrative production model Circadian Cinema. John's feature film Loaded is currently optioned by PSquared Films in New York, and his The Second Coming is optioned by Fireheart Films in Los Angeles. He is the cofounder of SmackDabMedia, a traditional and new medial production company specializing in film, video and web production and management.
John's varied experiences and successes are shared with students each semester as he instructs courses in Avid and Final Cut Pro.
Carsen
As a graduate of the flagship CSB School of Broadcasting campus in Hartford (Farmington), Carsen has enjoyed a variety of experiences and successes in the broadcast field. While pursuing a degree at the University of Mississippi, she secured an on-air position at WWZD in Tupelo. After graduation, Carsen was selected to be a member of NBC's prestigious Page Program, affording her the opportunity to work on projects like the network's coverage of the 2000 presidential election, the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and the Sydney Olympics, in addition to working on Late Night with Conan O'Brien, Saturday Night Live and The Rosie O'Donnell Show. This led to freelance positions with MTV and ESPN. Carsen found her way back into radio in 2001 at WRCH in Hartford. She moved to Nashville and was hired at WQZQ in 2004, which led to a Morning Producer position at WVNS. Carsen is currently the night jock at WBUZ.
Carsen is a huge fan of '80s rock and spends much of her free time following various bands around the country. When she opts for a quiet evening, she spends it with her two dogs.
Carsen's varied experiences are shared with students while she instructs radio courses.
Christine Maddela
While Christine graduated from college just three years ago, she has already distinguished herself as an award-winning reporter and noted anchor. While pursuing her degree from the University of Missouri - Columbia, Christine was hired as a reporter for the area ABC affiliate KMIZ and later moved to the NBC affiliate KOMU to anchor the morning newscast. A stint as a Production Assistant on World News Tonight with Peter Jennings led her to Washington, D.C., where she served as a Washington correspondent for KOMU. In El Paso, Christine was the Weekday Noon Anchor on KDBC and was honored by both the Texas and New Mexico Associated Press for her feature reporting. She is currently the Weekend Evening Anchor on WRKN News 2 in Nashville and files reports during the weekday newscasts.
Christine is a certified public speaker, fluent in Spanish, and has won various awards for her leadership and services to the community. She enjoys spending time with her dogs, dancing, watching sports and reading.
Christine's impressive achievements are passed on to future broadcasters as she instructs courses on television performance and news.
